Lake Champlain Sea Grant is Hiring a Land Use and Water Quality Educator
Lake Champlain Sea Grant is hiring for a Land Use and Water Quality Educator at the University of Vermont (UVM). The selected candidate in this position will develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs focused on stormwater and sustainable watershed practices. The role involves working with members of the public and businesses to assess properties and to provide education about sustainable stormwater management. The selected candidate will also develop, deliver, and evaluate watershed science trainings for real estate professionals in Vermont and the Lake Champlain basin of New York.
Position Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, natural resources, water resources, or related field is required. This position requires a self-motivated, creative, well-organized person with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants should have a working knowledge of mapping software (i.e., ANR Natural Resource Atlas, ArcGIS).
