Ruby is a freshman in the Rubenstein School of Natural Resources majoring in Environmental Science with a concentration in Conservation Biology and Biodiversity. She is from Montpelier Vermont where she grew up exploring, hiking, biking and swimming throughout the natural spaces in Vermont. Ruby has spent a lot of time educating children at summer camps and is passionate about sharing her love of the natural world with others. In her free time, she likes to ski, backpack and is working on perfecting her headstands. Ruby loves bringing curiosity and joy to children and can’t wait to be part of the watershed educator team!

Cole is a freshman in the Rubenstein School of Natural Resources studying forestry. Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, they were drawn to Vermont by a love of the outdoors and a desire to be near the mountains. Cole enjoys reading, skiing, and all kinds of plants and animals. Cole was a member of their high school’s Envirothon team, which focused on watersheds and water resources. They are excited to be a part of the watershed educator team!

Haley is a first-year with a major in Environmental Studies and a minor in Wildlife Biology. During their free time, Haley likes to explore creative hobbies like crochet, music making, and drawing. She also loves to cook and is often found “cheffing it up” in the dorm. Haley loves to try new things and hopes to inspire K-12 students through her excitement for new adventures and experiences outside.

Mary is a  senior at UVM with a  major in Anthropology and Environmental Studies as well as a minor in Ecological Agriculture. Mary is  originally from Oneonta, New York and developed my love for the outdoors and environmental education in the Adirondacks. In Mary’s free time, they love to bird watch, read, and hike all over the Northeast!

Emma is a junior with a major in Environmental Studies and a minor in Health and Society. Emma has a passion for the connection between human and environmental health and social justice. Emma loves being outside especially on the water as she scuba dives and once COVID is over she loves concerts. Emma is excited to  pass along knowledge to K-12 students about why the environment is so important and amazing.

Marg is from Southern NH and has appreciated the mountains and waterways as long as she can remember. Her summers were spent camping in Grand Isle and boating to Burlington as a kid, and now as a Junior she’s majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Chemistry. On days off you can find her playing soccer with her friends, swimming, giving wrong directions as the passenger, or cooking some sort of pasta or noodle dish. The best shapes of pasta are Campanelle or Farfalle .

Viv is a second year in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Food Systems and Studio Art. Viv became passionate about the environment during her junior and senior years of high school. She did so by researching water ecology and mussel health while supplying data for the state of Virginia. Viv enjoys the outdoors, arts and crafts, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. She is passionate about youth environmental advocacy and strongly feels that youth should be encouraged to contribute to our future. Viv believes that awareness, education, and informed understanding is the most productive way to make change happen.

Lindsay is a senior in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources studying environmental science with a concentration in water resources. She’s from Pennsylvania, an hour north of Philadelphia. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys photography, hiking, painting, and watching the sunset whenever possible. She wants to help better the environment and our watershed as well as educate others on how to do so!

Bailey is a junior in the Rubenstein School of Natural Resources majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Political Science. She has a strong belief that environmental education and access to the outdoors at an early age can shape a person's relationship to nature for the rest of their lives. Bailey spends her summers living and working in the White Mountains educating hikers about conservation efforts and the alpine zone. She loves to road trip and explore new corners of the US as well as trail run, and cook up some delicious food.
